Data Scientist and Design Researcher
Above all else, I'm drawn to difficult analytical problems and love nothing more than diving in. In my 10+ years as a researcher, analyst, and teacher of research skills, I've sought to uncover insights about the world around me in different contexts, making conceptual and practical sense of ambiguity. This drive has led me to data science, where the growing number difficult problems is outpaced only by the sheer volume of data available. This drive has also led me to design research, where empathy, iteration, and processes for innovation are used to make sense of and tell stories about all that data. My background in cultural psychology and qualitative data lend a nuanced approach to text analysis, feature engineering, user experience, product design, and consumer behavior. My experience managing teams and leading consulting projects brings a business focus to data science work. All the teaching I've done helps me to communicate complicated ideas clearly and to join narrative with analysis. Curious about how all of this fits together? I'd love to tell you more! Other things I'm really excited about: behavioral science, making and consuming art, making and consuming baked goods, pretty much all pets. You can also find me on Github. |
